Please write a few paragraphs reflecting on your experience today talking to our friend at NASA. What did you find interesting? What are some new things that you learned? Was there anything you already knew that Mr. Storm talked about as well? What did you enjoy the most about this experience? Please make sure to be specific and explain your ideas.
The experience was amazing. Almost everybody got to ask questions, we got to talk to a professional at Nasa, and had some insight on the water on mars topic. Some interesting things he said was that they want to send people to mars, and Nasa built a Larger rocket .Also, they told us if you wanted to go to mars on a shuttle you could not stop the shuttle till you get to Mars , and when the astronauts have to eat , they dehydrate there foo and then when they want to eat it they put water inside the food and it would look and taste as if it was just cooked, well at least kinda close to what the food would look like.
I learned that there is frozen water inside mars ,and while you are going to Mars you have to keep moving because the people on the shuttle would lose a lot of weight from not moving from floating in the shuttle so they Nasa wants to make a shuttle that spins so it would make you keep weight, like not get super skinny and you're not to let your bone density get skinnier. I also learned that Nasa wants to send people to Mars, but they might have to live under Mars.
I already knew that that there was ice under mars, because it was on the news and I watched a presentation about the topic , and i also knew that Nasa wants to send people to Mars . A lot of the information Mr. Storm talked about was very new and I was very interested in what he said .
I mostly enjoyed when Mr. Storm talked about having to have the shuttle that spins so the astronauts don't lose a lot of weight from not using their bones , because they will be on the shuttle for 8 years, 4 years going to mars and 4 years coming back , and the way the astronauts make their food . The experience was great and it was a great to talk to a professional working at Nasa.
