This video is about how scientist at Ohio State University are growing brain tissue out of adult skin cells. I chose this topic, because I have always had a big interest in science , and the article was very interesting to know that people are trying to cure some of the most devastating diseases and disorders of our time.
I am proud about how we worked well together. When we had different ideas about something, we were able to combine our ideas and make something even better then the first original ideas, but we also had had problems for when I wanted to use the I pad Katie would not really let me use it, and for when I wanted to do credits she she said it was okay and then the day for when I was going to do credits she said no, but we worked things out at the end. Katie and I used cooperation , curiosity, and tolerance. We used cooperation , because we worked well.
I chose this topic, because I knew that peer pressure has been happening everywhere, and people have been badly influenced in it . So I thought it would be a good topic to do a p.s.a on.I learned that sometimes you would leave your friends in some situations of peer pressure and you would disobey your parents .I liked it best when we were video taping each other with the camera and all the times we messed up .WE need to grow in more information , but i think were were a pretty good group.
Reflection
Making a video has many different parts . It´s not just picking some pictures and
talking, it’s way harder than that . But in my group went through lot’s of
disagreement, ,Storyboards, moving people out of the group, research, production, and brutal peer editing.
In the beginning while we were trying to decide our topic , we had a little feud on what we wanted . We started with the history of music to finally, how babies evolved, human Embryology . In our group ,members had to be moved to a different group because we could not decide on a topic. So we finally chose human embryology . We thought it would be a very interesting topic and we were right.
Research was very interesting yet kind of mature. We found out the details after the intercourse with the sperm and the eggs. The stronger sperm(s ) would get to go inside the egg and grow. It was cool to find out how the baby evolved and the features it grown every 5 weeks. Sometimes it would grow hair or it’s ears would start to evolve.
Next came our storyboard . This part was not very hard. It helped us plan our video ,and what we would get to show every 5th week. We would draw kind of an idea of what we wanted our picture to look like. It would also help remember what we would say , and what info we would give. I thought this step was very useful and helpful. It I believe that we should on our projects .
Once the storyboard was done, next came the production phase that was quite fun . The way the baby evolved definitely surprised us . The baby looked so different than what many people probably expected. We messed up a lot during the voice overs, I learned was that we should try to memorize the things we were going to say , because it sounds more natural . One of our strengths was the information we gave .One of our groups weaknesses is that our video was a bit short . We could have showed how the woman’s stomach got bigger .
Finally came the peer editing . This was the most brutal part of the project . People thought the video was disturbing . There was not many suggestions ,but one of the comments suggested that we should add music, but some of the suggestion were not helpful. A lot of the suggestion were not suggestions. Some people just thought it was gross. We found some calming music off the internet ,and it actually helped the video be more calm.
We moved people, brutal editing, production , storyboards , but at the end of the video it was amazing . People may have thought it was creepy but A least our group knew that it was a good video, and was very interesting.
